The Alpha Phi Foundation

“Alpha Phi was one of the first sororities to start their own foundation. The Alpha Phi Foundation was established in 1956 and our core values are shown through our five pillars. Our first pillar is Leadership, where Alpha Phi supports and encourages young women in becoming leaders through a variety of programs and training opportunities. Our second pillar is Scholarship, where we help raise money to offer scholarships for the undergraduate and graduate education of our sisters. Our third pillar is Women’s Heart Health, where we focus on research and education for women's cardiovascular health and through the Heart to Heart Grant we help support and fund research programs around the country. Our fourth pillar is Assistance Grants, or what we call the Forget Me Not Grant, which is designed to help Alpha Phi sisters, both past and present, with temporary financial assistance for an event or unforeseeable circumstance. Our fifth pillar is Heritage, which is meant to help maintain and share our history as an organization. The Alpha Phi Foundation is about uplifting the lives of women through philanthropy. ON Campus Fundraisers

Alpha Phi members, friends, and other Fraternal and Sorority Chapters are invited to come to the Alpha Phi house to eat a wonderful home-cooked Thanksgiving meal made by our outstanding chef, Shauna. All attendees are also welcome to join our pumpkin pie-eating competition. All proceeds are donated to the Alpha Phi Foundation, which supports women’s heart health.

Alpha Pheast

February is National Heart Health Awareness Month. During February, Alpha Phi does several things to raise awareness on the University of Oregon campus. During "Heart Days," a week dedicated to raising awareness of our cause, members of Alpha Phi sold sweet treats to students, staff, and members of the community and hosted a baby goat petting zoo on campus in hopes of spreading smiles and increasing awareness about heart health on campus.

Alpha Phi members, alumni, family, and friends are invited to attend our annual formal Red Dress Gala over Mother’s Day weekend. Baskets are donated by current members and are auctioned off throughout the night. Red Dress is a night of eating, dancing, and being with friends – all while raising money for a great cause!

Each spring term, Alpha Phi holds our PHIFA philanthropy, which is a soccer tournament. Fraternity men and Sorority women compete against one another in support of our cause, women’s heart health. We have so much fun cheering on the teams and coaching them!!
